Don't waste your life, renounce and recycle!

Spring cleanup

Although we were actively cleaning many times in 2016 and 2017 as part of the Capital City CleanUp, we did not record waste weight and composition most of the time. However, we decided to do that this time. Again, being part of the Capital City CleanUp volunteer group, we cleaned the small forested area between the Fort Hill road and the Saskatchewan Drive (see map).

Clean Edmonton

We are Clean Edmonton. Our goal is to minimize wastes in woods, rivers and creeks. Human wastes are long-living and an aestetic problem; they are often hazardous to human and environmental health and hard to remove once introduced into nature. Wastes have to be treated properly to cause a minimum of harm. We oppose littering and make it a subject of discussion. We support the reuse and recycling of materials, such as clothes and household items. Join us and let us together fight for a clean living environment in the city of Edmonton and beyond.

Check out our projects! We investigate the waste amount along the Northern Saskatchewan River and other streams in Edmonton. We also hunt for the dirtiest yards and streets in the city.
